Since polygraph exams- or as some people call them, lie detector tests- are performed for different reasons, the process can vary a bit but the general process is as follows.
First, the examiner will talk with you and discuss the exam, what questions will be asked to make sure that you fully understand them, and the general process that they will be following.
Next, you will be attached to the polygraph machine. Don’t worry, there is no discomfort caused by the machine. It simply reads your bodily responses to the questions.
